Protein Christmas cookie recipe

These cookies might be healthier than your usual sugar cookie, but guess what…they are still delicious! Whole wheat flour, protein powder, and greek yogurt bring their A-game in this recipe. These yummy and (almost) guilt free morsels are perfect for bringing to the office.

Ingredients
  1. 1 cup grass-fed, organic unsalted butter
  2. 2 cups coconut sugar
  3. 2 eggs
  4. 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  5. 1 tsp. almond extract
  6. 4 cups whole-wheat flour
  7. 1/2 cup Organic Plant Based Protein Powder - Vanilla
  8. 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  9. 4 tsp. baking powder
  10. Pinch of salt
  11. 1 cup white chocolate chips
  12. 1 cup dried cranberries
  13. Zest of two oranges
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, yogurt and almond extract and blend. Add dry ingredients and mix just until combined.
  3. Roll dough out and cut with cookie cutters. Place on parchment-covered cookie sheets and bake at 375 for 7 minutes.
  4. Melt chocolate chips in double boiler or in microwave in 30-second intervals (stirring in between) until just melted.
  5. When cookies have cooled, put a dollop of chocolate in the middle of each one and sprinkle with dried cranberries. Drizzle with more chocolate and top with orange zest.
