Get Picky With Your Protein!

September 12, 2016

At Orgain, being picky means we don’t compromise our high standards for nutrition, ingredient quality, OR taste.

Taste? We’ve got it covered.

Unlike other plant-based proteins that have a gritty, hard-to-choke-down texture, Orgain Organic Protein Powder is smooth and delicious. It turns your morning smoothie or post-workout protein drink from a dreaded chore to something you actually enjoy! And Orgain Organic Protein Powder tastes great added to many of your favorite recipes, so you can have pancakes, muffins, smoothies, and snack bars with a healthy protein boost.

Nutrition? Check.

Orgain Organic Protein has the nutritional profile we all want in a protein powder: including 21g of plant-based protein per serving, only 3g net carbs, no added sugar, and no soy. (For more information, click here.)

Ingredient quality? That, too.

But our pickiness doesn’t end there. Unlike the leading plant-based protein powders, Orgain is USDA Organic, so it’s made without the use of toxic pesticides, hormones or any artificial ingredients. Great taste doesn’t mean you have to compromise on quality. We’re firm on that.

Here’s a breakdown of some of what’s inside our Organic Protein Powder and why:

Organic Sprouted Brown Rice Protein

  • Excellent source of amino acids (complete amino acid profile when combined with pea protein)
  • Sprouting increases nutrient absorption and decreases intestinal distress
  • Very high concentration of protein
  • Sprouted, USDA organic, non-GMO

Organic Hemp Protein

  • Complete the amino acid profile with important branch-chain amino acids
  • High in omega-3
  • High in fiber

Organic Pea Protein

  • Excellent amino acid profile high in BCAAs
  • High in lysine and arginine
  • Highly digestible protein source

Organic Chia Seed

  • High in omega-3
  • High in fiber

So, if you’re using a protein powder that isn’t smooth and delicious, doesn’t have the best nutrition and isn’t USDA Organic, it’s time to get picky with your protein. You won’t regret it.

I use your orgain plant based protein powder everyday & love it! Especially the peanut one!My question is ,is this a complete meal? I couldn’t find an amino acid profile can you supply me with one?

Hi Lucia and thanks for your question! Here’s our Plant Based Protein Powder amino acid profile. Also, please keep in mind that these figures represent the amino acid profile for one serving. Orgain Organic Meal Powder is a complete meal with complex carbs, fruits and veggies, and organic protein, while our Protein Powder is more of a protein delivery system, with healthy fats and organic fiber. The Protein Powder is fantastic by itself, but also gives you the ability to control what else goes in, should you like to blend your own morning smoothies. Hope this helps but please feel free to email us at info@drinkorgain.com if you have other questions!

I recommend putting this list of BCAAs on the label. Most other competitors do this and is one of the things I look for when comparison shopping.

475mg. The formatting shifted when I copy & pasted so it ended up on the same line as Leucine.

Is Orgain Organic Protein Powder (Natural Unsweetened) a complete protein?

Hi! I am a mom in the go and love love love your Orgain Protein Powders but I just saw this one with the SuperFoods. My question is can I use this since I’m currently breast feeding? I know I can with your regular protein powders but since this one contains more ingredients I was just curious. I didn’t see this ingredient on the label but my doctor says that it’s not recommended to take anything with Goldenseal in the ingredients since it can be passed through the breast milk. And there’s nothing on the label that says it’s ok for mom’s on the go like your regular protein powders. Thanks in advance!

Hi there Vien – We have thousands of moms that have emailed us fantastic feedback on Orgain during their pregnancies and after while breastfeeding. Orgain is certified organic so free of hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, artificial sweeteners, colors, and GMOs. As always, we’d recommend you check with your healthcare team to ensure that Orgain is right for you.

Love this product, but did some deep research on glutamine and cancer feeds on this!!! Not good!!

Hi Bridget & thank you for your concern.

Glutamine is actually the most abundant free amino acid in blood and Orgain does not add any supplemental glutamine to our products. The glutamine is naturally occurring in the protein sources – both our plant based and dairy based proteins inherently have glutamine as an amino acid. As always, we’d recommend that you check with your healthcare team to ensure that Orgain is right for you.

I purchased the Orgain Orgsnic Protein shake. The ingredients on the container does not list Hemp at all. However, on all other sites hemp is listed as a part of the protein blend. Please clear up this discrepancy please.

Hello Mo & thanks for your comment. The reason for the discrepancy is that we recently removed hemp protein from our products. However, some retailers may still have the older formula on the shelf. It sounds like you have the newer formula without hemp. The label on the product is the most accurate information for the product inside. I hope this helps. Thank you for the chance to clear that up!

Hi, My son is 12 years old and really into sports. I would like to know if my kids could have this for breakfast, but adding a fruit or cocoa because they love the chocolate flavor? All alone is good but sometimes we would like to change the flavor a bit. Thank you..
